I'm not sure I agree with this list...But it's something to ponder.

I looked through the list. This epitomizes, in my opinion, the insatiable appetite of Americans to rank everything. I am sure my criterion for the best coach would not be the same and others.
The question is, how many well establish programs bring the coach along for the ride and how many coaches really control the program? Urban Meyer, e.g. is a great coach and I would rank him up where he is, but the OSU program is so entrenched, he is not going to change much, just get great players and wins.

It's obviously large-school biased. If Pete Lembo or Mark Hudspeth or Craig Bohl was put in charge of a major program, I'm sure they would get more recognition than they do. The larger schools will obviously pay the money to attract the best coaches, but those coaches were at smaller schools once upon a time and they wouldn't have been on the list.
For what it's worth though, I would put Cutcliffe and Dantonio higher than this list has them.

Back in town for a Dr's appointment ...then back to North Carolina ...
Jimbo Fisher should be included (IMHO)...
He took a 6-6 team in the year before he ascended...had them winning 12 games in year three and won a NC in year four.
While FSU may have had had recruiting advantages...the previous administration sure didn't take advantage of them.
Jimbo revamped recruiting, changed the whole S&C regime, installed new schemes and built a powerhouse in short order.
FSU's Rush Defense in the year before Jimbo was ranked #108, Pass Defense ranked #77.
In 2013, Jimbo had FSU as the #2 Scoring Offense and the #1 Scoring Defense.
