Louisiana Tech Not in Bowl

Wow. That is incredible.

Louisiana Tech turned down an invite to the Independence Bowl to play UL Monroe. The story behind this is that Louisiana Tech, from what I can tell, has an axe to grind with UL Monroe. They have a very stuck up attitude about them. Derek Dooley referred to them as "Northeastern" (their old name) a few years ago and said they wouldn't play. Why they have this attitude, I have no idea. But they were holding out for the Liberty Bowl and the bid never came. So now their team is spending the winter in Ruston. Central Michigan and Western Kentucky snuck into the postseason, two teams that were on the chopping block earlier.

No, good for them. About time someone had the guts to say we are not going to get somebodies idea of a bowl that is only a concoction that denies reality.
