I think that's right.
After you have fought your war, finished your education, maneuvered through a long career, raised your child, buried your parents, some friends, and a sibling or two...it stands out at the end..
As corny and hackneyed as it sounds, it is the bonds of love and family that are eternal.
Most of us are bound by a deep love and devotion to our mate until death takes one of us. And our children are a product of that love, and part of that love, and carry that love forward into a new generation.
