Braxton Miller maybe out for the season
The rumor is rumbling around Columbus. If true Ohio State isn't a top 20 team.

Re: Braxton Miller maybe out for the season
Oh-man, sorry to read that.
It is such a somber realization when a player so intricate to a program is unable to be apart of the designated system.
Coincidentally, because of Ryan Williams' injury, Miami projected RS Freshman Kevin Olsen to be the starter.
Unfortunately, he got into trouble in the off season, and is listed being suspended "at least" for the season opener.
That at least part leaves 3 players competing for the position. recently transferred graduate student Jake Heaps and true freshmen Brad Kaaya and Malik Rosier.
Malik Rosier is not even being mentioned in the conversation, and recent reports say Jake Heaps & Brad Kaaya will both see playing time in the Louisville game.
Meaning, Al Golden has not see enough development between the 2, to secure a clear starter.
It has been the thorn in Miami's side since Ken Dorsey graduated.
Lack of consistency from the quarterback position.
The proverbial, here we go again syndrome.
.
Spence, we may both be in for a disappointing 2014 season.

Re: Braxton Miller maybe out for the season
It is probably just as well. Miller would have had a tough time behind a new offensive line anyway. We will just have to take our lumps this year.

Re: Braxton Miller maybe out for the season
I think Ohio State still has the potential to field a very good team, but the defense will have to pick up more of the slack than they did last year, especially with their two biggest games to end the year being bad (both losses). The offense might lose a little bit of punch but I'm sure Ohio State has some guys waiting in the wings that can take the job and produce. It looks like Barrett might be the guy.

I did have Miami in my preseason top 20 before their QBs started dropping like flies. Jake Heaps is just a very mediocre QB, as I believe Charlie Weis had no intention of giving him the starting job at Kansas. He wasn't any good at BYU either.

I am no Ohio State fan by any stretch but never like to see someone's career derailed due to injury. He is an exciting player to watch. I'm sure Ohio State will still be a solid team in the conf but Mich State has to be feeling good about getting back to the conf title game now.

Michigan State had a good chance anyway, but yes, there prospects just got better. Ohio State is going to struggle with a new QB and new offensive line.

We'll see. It's still Urban Meyer and it's still Ohio St.
I honestly didn't think Miller was that great but he was utilized well.

Miller had huge talent, he wasn't great at reading defenses and checking down receivers. The new kid doesn't have a strong arm from what I have heard.

Re: Braxton Miller maybe out for the season
I was in Vegas this last week and went to the Sports Book. I realized how bad the Braxton injury was when Ohio State now has the same odds of winning the National Championship as Texas...30 to 1.
I'll be $300 richer if the Bucks do win it all. Just sayin.

PS...Scared money runs with the blatherskites. I hope you become rich....We would be interested in the other "investments" you made.

Buffets are amazing...
I figure the $20 on Texas and $10 on OSU were the best gambling decision I could make...it'll take me 4-5 months before I lose these bets!
I can do that in 10 seconds playing roulette.

I don't like buffets. I was force to go to the seafood buffet at the Rio last time I was there and it was terrible.

I'm glad....who wants to be behind a belligerent bewildered balderdashing buffet buffoon, anyway......
They call people behind me in a buffet, hungry.
Now that I think about it...I much rather sit at a table and have someone wait on me, like at home...........

I'm with you with table service except I don't get it at home. I would ask how long I had to live if she served me anything.
