Good win last night for the Cards . . .
Miami had their chances, but Louisville's d stood strong.
Ought to be fun to see how they do the rest of the year.

Swamp Daddy wrote:UL opens the ACC era with a win. A true Petrino game with a 16 play 8-minute drive in the 4th qtr. eating up a lot of time and scoring as well. Hopefully, we'll have super receiver DeVante Parker back for the 3rd game (or 4th.)

Good win by Louisville. The defense was put in a bad spot several times and didnt cave. As for Parker, that would be a big boost if he can come back for Syracuse, or ideally Wake, to get a game in before Clemson. They need him and a lil help to win at Death Valley.

Re: Petrine back to Louisville as head coach
Hi all: I expect QB play to improve significantly in the 2nd game for Will Gardner; and, hopefully he'll learn to keep the ball closer to his chest while manoeuvering around.
Murray State will be a cream puff and maybe give the staff to install improvements to the offense.
This makes it 3 straight over Miami. Devon Hester was on the last 2004 Miami team to beat UL and he played a big part in that game. UL great Harry Douglas (now a teammate of Hester in the pros) bet him UL would win and here is Hester's losing the bet result:

Looking forward to Saturday already, Swamp Daddy
