Michigan lost to Michigan State and if Michigan can beat Ohio State and if Ohio State beats Michigan State, there could be a 3 way tie for first place in that division.
if they all win out the remainder of their games except for those losses, they have to go the the tie-break for division champ.
The B1G has 5 tie-breakers and after 1 through 4 are implemented, there will still be a 3 way tie for first place in the division standings and the conference has to go to the 5th tie-break.
The ranking in the playoff rankings is the 5th tie breaker. And those won't be announced until the Tuesday after that final rivalry weekend, so they' could go 3 days without knowing who will play in the B10 championship game.

Re: Big Ten...what a thought!
It could happen that way. Those things have ways of working themselves out, though. It would be cool if Michigan had something to gain in The Game, because often the team with nothing to gain wins and ruins the season of the other.

I have thought about this possibility, but I doubt it will happen when it's all said and done.
