Perplexing...Bama gets more practice time than Clemson

Postby billybud » Tue Jan 05, 2016 9:51 am

The NCAA rules handicap Clemson in the NC game...Bama, of course, has them figured out and their academic schedule allows them the advantage.

I'm not sure it is a big deal, but I agree it should be the same for both.

The simplest of problems with the simplest of solutions always escape the NCAAA. Everyone gets these things can happen, can not predict every scenario. But one quick statement limiting all teams after the regular season to 20 hours per week would solve the issue. I would think Sabin would volunteer to do that.

I think having 40 hours or more a week for film study, coaching and practice vs 20 hours, certainly can make a difference over a couple of weeks

Especially when you are building a game for a specific opponent.

Ohio State had the same advantage last year. Meyer said they didn't practice more that 20 hours a week anyway. I doubt Sabin is either.

It's not doing Alabama much good after the first quarter.
They’re either going to run the ball here or their going to pass it.

The fewer rules a coach has, the fewer rules there are for players to break.

See, well ya see, the thing is, he should have caught that ball. But the ball is bigger than his hands.
