Keith Jackson
RIP Keith Jackson. My memories of the Rose Bowl will always include him.

Re: Keith Jackson
I liked his broadcasting. Thought it was the best in many sports. He was a Washington State Alum but when he broadcast with his staccato emphasis, he never seemed biased. Current broadcasters should study Keith Jackson.

Re: Keith Jackson
Keith Jackson grew up a handful of miles from one of my ancestral family's places in Georgia (My GG grandmother's family was from Carrollton)...but he did not have that distinctive regional accent.
He joins a cast of memories that the young ones will never know...the greats...Howard Cosell, Dandy Don Meredith, Frank Gifford.....and all to soon in the future, Lee Corso.

Re: Keith Jackson
I remember watching a documentary on how he was kicked off the Monday night football team. And I think it had to do with his accent. But even though he kinda got screwed over, in the end it worked out for him.
They’re either going to run the ball here or their going to pass it.
The fewer rules a coach has, the fewer rules there are for players to break.
See, well ya see, the thing is, he should have caught that ball. But the ball is bigger than his hands.

He was my favorite. Even when my team lost.

Whoooooooa, Nelly!!
Keith Jackson was for a great time, THE voice of College Football. No one has since brought the style and class to commentary quite the in the same manner. A true gentleman, on & off of the airways.
Kieth inspired generations with his enthusiasm and articulation of play by play finesse.
There was no better, and likely will not be another comparable to him again.
RIP to the Voice
Condolences to the family and Loved ones.
