Perspective of a Former Player.......
”We’re already in a time where the on-field aspect of College Football is almost a distraction. It’s an era filled with handwringing about player empowerment, NCAA deregulation, the transfer portal and realignment all while the sport generally moves toward a professional model.” ~ Dennis Dodd

Re: Perspective of a Former Player.......
Mark Emmert is a giant dingleberry. They could easily get this done. Let the athletes sell their likeness and impose heavy penalties on the schools for trying to get a competitive advantage by hooking the kids up with money.
The problem is the NCAA has always punished the kids for taking advantage of misdeeds of the schools. It should have always been the other way around. The kids have never had any power over the institutions or the boosters. It has always been the other way around. It is about time it changed, but it appears Mark Emmert is so inept at his job, he is going to let congress burn the whole thing down and it is going to bury the non revenue sports and take those athletes down with him.

The NCAA has been its own worst enemy for decades........

I doubt Emmert could carry a tune in a bucket, much less play a fiddle......
