There are kids losing scholarships as well as high school kids not being offered schlorships being facilitated by the way the portal is currently operating.![]()

Yes, that is happening too. The kids not getting offered out of high school is the big problem. It is supposed to be a scholarship program to help kids get a degree and losing high school kids to the "free agent" pool is a consequence. The schools are always going to try to work this to an advantage. Ohio State swung and missed on a QB when Haskin's went to the NFL and Burrow took the grad transfer route. They got Fields in the Transfer portal. Had they not got him, they wouldn't have made the playoffs the last two years. The larger schools are benefiting plenty from it - which is usually is the case.
