…….don’t know, but they’re OK with one third of their regular season games being against non-conference opponents.
Well, there goes conference champs and strength of schedule from the selection criteria and equation…… so what is it we have now…. a Beauty Pageant that’s based on brands instead of beauty?????

Did the SEC just ‘Punk Out’???????

In other words ...
We are now left with an extended BCS.

It certainly appears as if Greg Sankey has applied Mary Howitt’s poetry to College Football with his, “ ‘Will you walk into my parlour?’. said the Spider to the Fly.”……. he’s sounding more and more like Brian Kelly attempting to speak Cajun when he claims ‘we’re moving forward’ went actually we’re moving backwards.

I kinda like being able to play powder puff teams, mainly because it's good for the programs of the other smaller schools.
If those programs don't have the money provided for being candy for the big teams, will they survive? Maybe, but I don't know.

They’re either going to run the ball here or their going to pass it.
The fewer rules a coach has, the fewer rules there are for players to break.
See, well ya see, the thing is, he should have caught that ball. But the ball is bigger than his hands.

I think at the end of the day the B1G will go with 8 too. I guess it depends on how you use your 4 non conference games. Playing 4 outside games allow a comparison with other teams from other conferences and help get rid of the "we beat each other up" argument.

Saban was making that very argument in an article I read where he was complaining about not making the CFP after a 2 loss season, claiming Alabama was better than the some of the ‘teams’ selected for the CFP in those instances…….. Winning on the field is taking a backseat to which team is the best on paper or in the eyes of the beholder.

Alabama was better than some of the teams. Here is the thing, though, there will always be teams on the outside who are better than those playing. Even if they played a 120 team round robin schedule there would be upsets that throw a wrench into things. That is why I think you just play conference champs off and take what you get. It is more fair. You don't get the best 4 or however many teams, but you have a clear path at a championship for every single team.

I’m patiently waiting for the first lawsuit………
