For a playoff to have any legitimacy, all conference champs have to be guaranteed a spot. And the non conference champs SEC/B10 teams can prove their worth on the field by playing in the first round and beating a team.

This is assuming that the conf champs get a bye from the first round.....
They’re either going to run the ball here or their going to pass it.

The fewer rules a coach has, the fewer rules there are for players to break.

See, well ya see, the thing is, he should have caught that ball. But the ball is bigger than his hands.

That is right Derek. Doubt that it will happen that way though

“Legitimacy” is the word………. and in today’s world of College Football, if the title is for sale, keep an eye on Texas, because if it is they’ll buy it.

Yes, and now they are pushing for that great divide between The Power 4 Conferences, and the Group of Lesser Folk beneath them.

The media language is there, getting people familiar with the proposition, so that they are conditioned to accept it when it happens.

Not sure why they don't just go ahead and do it. We all know it's coming. They maybe attempting to obscure their vernacular, however, their motivations have been transparent for quite awhile.

We've been talking about their agenda on this board since 2005.

Other than milking the next cow dry; there is no reason to not just do what they want, seeing as how they are going to, anyway.

I am not sure football has ever had a legitimate champion.
