For first time ever: Arkansas vs Notre Dame

Postby Dossenator » Sat Apr 05, 2025 11:19 pm

Arkansas started playing football in 1894.

Notre Dame started playing football in 1887.

They have never played one another. On September 27, 2025 Arkansas will host Notre Dame and Arkansas will travel to Notre Dame in 2026.

There is tons of excitement for this game. Tickets are all ready going for crazy high prices.

It's been awhile. I hope everyone is doing well.
"A team with something to play for is dangerous, but a team with someone to play for is unstoppable..." Arkansas OL Brey Cook quote following the death of teammate Garrett Uekman (Nov. 2011).

Hey Doss………. GREAT POST, reminds me of the ‘Good Ole Days’ when COLLEGE FOOTBALL was about excitement, anticipation and fun.

Nice to see you Doss. ND must be expanding their OOC schedule to include real teams.

Good to hear from you Doss! Let's hope Notre Lame loses that one.
They’re either going to run the ball here or their going to pass it.

The fewer rules a coach has, the fewer rules there are for players to break.

See, well ya see, the thing is, he should have caught that ball. But the ball is bigger than his hands.

They have never played each other, though, they have a common face in time: Head Coach Lou Holtz

With Big 10 teams opting out of the open schedule with the Irish, they have to start filling in the gaps.

Although they play USC this season, the Trojans have chosen to discontinue the series with ND.

But the Leprechauns do play some quality opponents this year:

@ Miami
Home - v- Texas A&M
Home - v- Purdue
@ Arkansas
Home - v- Boise State
Home - v- N.C. State
Home - v- USC
@ Boston College
Home - v- Navy
@ Pitt
Home - v- Syracuse
@ Stanford

However, in response to USC suspending the rivalry; Notre Dame has responded by signing a 12 series with Clemson.
