Re: Top 25 poll voter sign up sheet
I have a program that I have to use because it automatically posts it to the main site, but thanks. Eric may need some help with the picks game, though, because I think he tally's everything manually.

This sheet will put the results in the same manner each week. Spelling will be consistent. Hopefully it will just be a copy and paste into your program..

It won't. But that is OK, as long as the polls are in, it doesn't take long to do.

The voter groups are up. Preseason poll is due by August 8th. Please have your votes in by then. The poll will be posted to the main site on August 11.

Re: Top 25 poll voter sign up sheet
I am assuming that where there are multiple pollsters on a team that they, in effect, are counted as two votes. That would mean that everyone has an equal voice. Is that correct?

I can only enter 10, but when you put them together, they have close to the same effect. If I could enter them all, I would, but the program isn't set up that way and I am not bright enough to change it.

The idea of having more than 1 voter in a group was to provide some balance from someone getting carried away with bias. I think, ideally, we would have 2 or more members in every "group". Originally, I think we had 3 members per voting group.

I agree that there is no problem with multiple members in a group. It would be ideal if all groups had the same number of members. The other solution would be to have one group with everyone in it, so each vote would be equal. I think there may be an issue that requires Spence to submit 10 votes, thus the 10 groups. The only way to circumvent that would be to average all the votes and then submit 10 identical votes.
I probably should not have even questioned the process, as it is not a big deal. I am a stat man and somewhat of an Excel computer geek, that is probably the only reason I brought this up.
Carry on, and let's have some football.

Re: Top 25 poll voter sign up sheet
We generally have someone forget every week. sometimes two or three. I don't vote at all anymore meaning, if we have more then one guy in a group, I can use one of those. Mathmatically it isn't a full vote if we have two or three in a group, but it works out fairly close. Ideally we would have enough people to have a disscussion within the groups, but that hasn't worked out for us so far.
