Jimbo calls 'em out
Jimbo can't publicly comment on the officiating...but in his luncheon he said a bunch.
...the crucial personal foul penalty for hitting a guy on the sideline trying to get near a first down was a BS call that put NC into field goal range. He said, "watch the film. the RB was still making progress, no whistle...the fact that he was on the sideline and his toe had crossed over a yard behind him is not sufficient. When a back is running down the sideline, in bounds, with no whistle, you hit him. I wouldn't expect otherwise from my players."
...When asked about holding calls...he said..."Y'all know I can't say what I think. The questioner then said "FSU's defensive line looked like it was being held all game with not a call while FSU was called on crucial downs". Jimbo's response..."I'm glad that you noticed that and brought it up, but I can not comment other than to say it is obvious that you watched the game."

Oh my...The Tallahassee Democrat, in an article, calls names and the officiating crew that has been offensive over time and refers to the "Tobacco Road Mafia" being favorable to North Carolina in basketball and football. Says a flag should be thrown on the ACC for unsportsmanlike conduct and hints that FSU should look at other possible conference affiliations if expansions create opportunites.
It's not just football. The soccer program is fed up. The FSU girl's soccer team has been scheduled to be on the road, out of state, for three games the week right before the ACC tournament. For the 6th out of last 8 years...while North Carolina hasn't travelled that week in 8 years. The FSU squad left their starters at home after be3ing screwed again as they travelled to North Carolina. The Commissioner fined FSU $40,000 for "lack of sportsmanship" for resting the starters.
The school asked///"How come every time that it is North Carolina's turn to travel that week, a vote gets called and the schedule changed." The paper again alludes to the Tobacco Road Mafia.
Bad blood is brewing.

I loved that quote. He commented without commenting.

It is because the conferences won't do anything about officials. They are too worried about a european soccer riot. Officiating has been a problem for years and in every conference. I don't know if "the fix was in" but it amazes me what you can get away with today before getting called for holding.

There is holding on every play on both sides of the ball. So officials need to call the holds that change the game..because they are not going to stop holding. My solution....allow holding. Why not? CFB is head down the WWF route anyway.

Re: Jimbo calls 'em out
There is legal holding - keeping your body straight ahead of the opposing player and your arms inside their shoulders. And there is illegal holding that is pulling someone down, holding onto their shirt when they are past you, grabbing any part of the jersey from behind, and any thing else that isn't legal holding. Really the line isn't as fine as people think.
I was always taught that no matter what the other team or the officals did, you had to overcome it and not dwell on it. That is hard to do sometimes. But if coaches and players get too caught up in it - not saying Fisher is at all - teams start looking for penalties and excuses and it keeps them from moving past these games. Bad officiating is something that the NCAA should actually do. They have the organization to handle it, but of course why have them do something they are capable of doing when they do so much now that they really shouldn't have their nose in at all.

What a joke? I am glad my kids aren't in sports. I'm a hot head...and I couldn't deal with these people! Lilliputian Kings...King Nothings...I'd like to backhand all of them!
These @55-clowns make me more angry than the clowns we send to Washington that actually have some power. Absolutely ridiculous!

Oh, that would be aawesome!!!
It would be really cool if the "Managers" were the Head Coaches...and they could trip receivers that had broken lose down the sidelines while the ref "was not looking" because he was distracted by a cheerleader.
And they could even have "plots" for the games...and instances where the NCAA would come out, Like Vince McMahon, and announce who would play "for the Championship".
So exciting.

They’re either going to run the ball here or their going to pass it.
The fewer rules a coach has, the fewer rules there are for players to break.
See, well ya see, the thing is, he should have caught that ball. But the ball is bigger than his hands.

Swofford still acts as though he is the AD for the holes. No way the commissioner should be a former AD for one of the member schools, too much potential for conflict of interest and the appearance of impropriety with him running things.

The Noles are fuming...and not quietly.
Talks of Tobacco Road homecooking by the officials have been going on but now the newspapers are on it.
No holding calls against the last three opponents, who incidentally are Carolina schools, while FSU has drive stoppers, TD's called back, real game changing calls.

Shands...
Look out for Auburn if you guys meet them in the CCG...their fans are convinced that Urban is behind the leaks about Cam Newton. In fact, Urban had to go as far as issue a public denial.

Well that's practically an admission of guilt these days.
