My guess is that one of your picks is spelled differently, and thus the Vlookup formula will not recognize it. I fixed it and you are 13-20.BYUfan1 wrote:Why is my total of wins plus losses one game less than everybody else? And our football team still didn't do any worse than BYU's.

Miami, FL did do worse. BYU won its bowl game, and Miami, FL lost theirs. That is unless the AD cheated and called the beatdown to Notre Dame a win. Winning a bowl game is better than losing one-unless you are Michigan.

I love BYU...Playing that mighty UTEP program and showing them what's what.
While BYU is an easy beat down for the Noles, every time, a win is hard to come by for a weak team like UTEP. UTEP looked good against the worst teams in the country like New Mexico and New Mexico State but got bombed by other better teams...lost by 28 to BYU, 30 to Houston, 37 to Arkansas, 20 to Tulane, etc. It goes to show that you can schedule a win.

BYU's final record with bowl win: 7 - 6
Miami's final record with bowl loss: 7 - 6
We had to lose our bowl game to tie your record.

Re: CFP Bowl Pickem Standings
Am I wrong or is Donovan not already the champion of the Confidence Points battle? If this as already stated somewhere, sorry - it's 3 a.m. so I didn't read through all the posts here.
After Sunday night's game, he has 425 and 18 on Oregon
Howdy has 411 and 1 on Auburn
I have 409 with 18 on Oregon
I can't beat Donovan because we have the same team at almost the same points.
Howdy can't beat Donovan as he only has 1 point left in play and trails by 14.
BTW, the computer has 431 points and 18 on Oregon.

That is correct, I believe. The only thing left is the final score.

Re: CFP Bowl Pickem Standings
Final Point Standings have Donovan on top with 425 pts. Howdy (412), Fanatic (409), Razorhawk (402) and WVU (392) for the top 5.
Straight Picks wound up with Howdy and Razorhawk tie for first with a 22-13 record. Cane finished 1 game behind.

Re: CFP Bowl Pickem Standings
Yes, thanks Razor. It worked really well. I did finish over 50% barely, but I won more than I lost.

Eric, Razor...thanks for doing this. All of us know it is not without way too much time involved.

Thanks Razoe, I think!?!?! LOL.
The preceding statements are solely the opinion of GoBoilers and are, therefore, probably not based whatsoever on fact, research or more time in thought than what was required to physically type them. They're probably correct anyway, so you shouldn't argue too much, because otherwise he'll just blather on forever. On the internet Al Gore invented.
Re: CFP Bowl Pickem Standings
Once again this year I will change my avatar or logo to represent the team that wins their bowl game that I most expected to lose when looking at my confidence points in the Bowl pick 'em.
Anyone care to join me?
This year I lost my 35 point confidence game when Army beat SMU, so for the next month or so I will be showing the Army logo as my avatar.
