UK slipping

Postby Swamp Daddy » Fri Sep 30, 2011 5:12 pm

The bottom of the barrel in the SEC is getting lower. UK may lose all it's conference games including Mississippi State and Vandy which are normally sure wins for UK.

The offense is certainly anemic. It just goes to show you how recruiting out of high school is such a crapshoot (I thought Morgan Newton was supposed to be an All-American?). I was reading somewhere that there are already rumblings to axe Joker Phillips.

Templitis! When you stagnate near or at the bottom for a good number of years it is nearly (if not entirely) impossible to climb up to average (or above) in a real meaningful way. Temple left the Big East and they are doing well...is it against lesser competition...yes. But somewhere you have to find a place to get your legs under you and learn how to win. Kentucky, Vanderbilt, Indiana, Northwestern, Duke, BC, Iowa State, Kansas, and Colorado (and even Rutgers, Syracuse, Purdue, Wake Forest, and UCLA) would all benefit from moving to non-FBS conferences for a few years to refocus, gain momentum, and learn how to win!
Government exists to protect us from each other. Where government has gone beyond its limits is in deciding to protect us from ourselves.
If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize it.

Yeah, I think Kentucky is def. the bottom of the east this year. The only question is, are they the worst in the SEC? Both Miss. teams are not too good.

Never underestimate the power of the Georgia Bulldogs to give a game away though. They almost did it today.

Kentucky might take one by surprise.
They’re either going to run the ball here or their going to pass it.

The fewer rules a coach has, the fewer rules there are for players to break.

See, well ya see, the thing is, he should have caught that ball. But the ball is bigger than his hands.
