They have been testing a version of that helmet since the beginning of the year - without the stripe or the number. I'm not a fan of having the number on the helmet. I think a lot of what is wrong with CFB now has to do with individualizing a team sport. Past that I don't really care what helmet they wear. I just hope that more money was spent on preventing head injury than on market appeal.

A number for me would be good only because I would be continually "losing" it and a number would help me find it.
