It's not a matter of being "patrician", it is recognizing that there is a reason that the Major League Baseball is a different league from the minor league....for reasons.

But Major League ball clubs do not schedule Minor League games so they can beat them, adding the victories to the win column and have them count their way into the World Series. And with that said, every minor league wants to be in the majors. Maybe in 2019 we can sit side by side and not give a dang.

There is a place for Country Club golf and for putt-putt, Macy's has its place and so does the dollar store, room for Ford and Cadillac. The difference is these entities recognize the difference and the different appeals. The NCAA does not represent anyone by large schools. Figure out a way to cut all of us lose and the Power 5 can do whatever they want. I shall now go to lunch at Denny's because I cannot afford Ruth Chris Steakhouse.

I say skip Denny's twenty times and go to Ruth's Chris once. Better bang for the buck.
