Purdue will be down to 4th string QB against Illinois. #3rd string Henry has a lacerated pinky!

Bollman taught zone blocking when he was in the NFL and he uses a really complicated scheme that requires the center to to call the offense that meshes with what the defense is showing and what play the coach calls. It is something that takes too long to learm, by the time they start to "get it" they are graduating. I like good old fashion hat on a hat, bust em in the mouth blocking.

Yeah me too. If I am putting my hand on the ground, I'd much rather know are you going to my right or my left?

Ohio State has had it's problems with injuries this year, but they are nowhere near as snakebit as Purdue this year. It has been really bad for them.

Most all teams can site the number of players, and key players lost due to injuries, but the top programs such as Ohio St etc. have so much more depth that it is not as critical, as with the mid tier teams.

I agree, but when you lose five of the nine defensive backs on scholarship is tests the depth of any team. If Ohio State lost the QB, they would be done. Bauserman ran the offensive the entire second half against Purdue and he managed only one score.

Agreed.
