Nor can it ever be with 120 teams.

It is personal. It's frustration. I know Boise St. is good enough to play for the title. I'm upset that, yet again, we get to watch them get no recognition for the quality of their team because it's hard to measure them comparatively because they don't have many actual tests on their schedule. I don't know that they jumped to the MWC just for football but it looked liked a motivating factor. I'm frustrated because Utah bailed, TCU isn't doing much without Dalton and is bailing next year, Nevada can't seem to do much without Kapernick, and Georgia is currently down right now. Most of all I'm frustrated because I hate to see things left unresolved. I KNOW it was a good move when they made the move to join the MWC I'm just frustrated it's not panning out and giving them the respect. As a person who takes care of business I'm frustrated because, for all their efforts, the move is proving fruitless. In the business world we call it a bad decision. It may not be your fault but it was still your decision. It's all born out of frustration for a team that was ready to take it to another level and prove they could play stiffer competition on a regular basis. A program that has lost 5 games in 6 years, 12 games in a decade and has never been given any respect.

I'm also frustrated because Moore is 44-2 by my counts. I've seen him play in the tough games and he has that ability to make things happen. He has the ability to pick his team up and carry them. I watch all these analysts who say he'll probably never play a down in the NFL and it adds to the frustration. He's poised to land in the top 5 all time in passing. He just crossed "12,000" yards and this year may be all that's left of his football career. One of the greatest quarterbacks in the history of college football and he's not going to play for the NC, he's not going to win the Heisman, and there is talk he may not even get drafted.

They've been on the national map for over a decade. They've scheduled games against top 25 teams the last couple years but in Moore's senior year all of the scheduling has fallen through. Boise St. could compete in any conference and I was hoping they would move to the Pac-12, Big Ten, or Big 12. There's a lot more to a conference than just the teams currently in it. Boise St. is getting good recruits but in MWC they won't get access to a steady stream of big time recruits.

Top 25 Recruiting Teams by Conference
SEC - 8 Teams
B12 - 4 Teams
ACC - 4 Teams
B10 - 3 Teams
P12 - 3 Teams
MWC - 1 Team (TCU)

When Va Tech went to the NCG in 1999-2000 they had players slightly less in physical stature than Boise St but not by much. Boise St. currently has 5 people over 300lbs of which 3 are Offensive Lineman. They have 4 players 6'5" or taller. Only one O-lineman is 300+ and 6'5"+ (SR Nate Potter). The committed recruits? No 300+ and no 6'5"+. Wide Receiver average height? 6'0-1/2". The recruits? 6'0-1/3". Let's compare a bit.

Vanderbilt(I know a perennial powerhouse)
300+? 5. 6'5"+? 15. OL 300+ & 6'5"? 5. WR Avg Height? 6'1".

Duke(ACC Domination just not football)
300+? 13. 6'5"+? 14. OL 300+ & 6'5"? 7. WR Avg Height? 6'0-5/8".

Va Tech(I had to check)
300+? 12. 6'5"+? 13. OL 300+ & 6'5"? 11. WR Avg Height? 6'1-2/3".

Imagine Peterson with that kind of genetic stock to coach up. Anyway, I'm way over time. I'm not hatin, I'm just frustrated.

I understand your frustration. I think to some extent, as I approach my years of ensure, depends, hearing aids and Metamucil, I just don't care like I use to. I like to watch football and have become less concern that common sense and tradition make a difference. I know you young guys are well centered and will right the ship, however that may be. Avarice will never sustain itself, regardless of the destruction is may cause.
