Folks are noticing and calling out the ACC...bad officiating is one thing, biased officiating is another...

Well, at least we had an unbiased, non-prejudicial, article to read! So as the last line in the article ask the question what is the reader's theory on this obvious conspiratorial plot against FSU since the time they first joined the ACC I would suggest this.

"Maybe we hold some and they don't call it," Fisher said. "It's opinionated. Players play, referees ref, and if they don't call a hold, you fight through it and you move on."

"There’s no more questions on holding," Fisher said. "If they call it, it’s a hold. If they don’t call it, it’s not a hold. What do you want us to say? It’s over with."

.....so in conclusion...what's good for the goose is good for the gander.

(So I followed the thread and read some Noles message boards on this subject, the ones you don't have to pay for....and I think I would prescribe Clozaril), loxapine Loxitane, Zyprexa), and Seroquel.)

There is holding on every play - every play. To what degree it is allowed is the question. Usually, a hook, like the one in the picture gets called. Sometimes it doesn't. The key to me is whether or not the calls are one sided. It is hard for a fan to be objective about that. Not that we don't see it, but we don't look when it happens on the right side of the ball.

Worst officiated games I have ever seen are: Super Bowl a few years ago (Seahawks vs the Steelers). I don't care for either team but the refs gift wrapped that game to the Steelers. Completely bogus calls. Calling pass interference on a guy that made no contact with a player from the opposing team during the play was one of the many blown calls I remember.

The other would have to be Ark vs Florida few years ago. Many, many, many bad calls and all favoring Florida. The officiated crew was suspended for 2 weeks after that game and given a formal reprimand. Still didn't change the outcome of the game.

On the officiating. The ACC is likely practicing "pack it in" calls. FSU, Clemson, Va Tech....class of the ACC, hands down! I think the officials go out with a goal of making games against all other competitors about 3TDs closer than it should be when one of these plays a team not having those names. The real problem...a couple of big calls early against one of those teams where they really came to play does more than skunk shaving!

And that will now and forever be what I call this kind of officiating, "skunk shaving." (It isn't brand new, but is the anti-case of the old days.)
