I just don't know if Jones is going to hold up under the pressure that Alabama will bring. Saban usually finds a way to mess with the opposing QB, and I don't expect this to be any different. Jones has been kind of thrust into this spot and I think he'll crack. Will Ohio State's receivers get as open downfield as they get against lesser secondaries? Alabama has really only gotten shredded by one team, that being Auburn. Auburn is primarily a run-first team, but they have a home run threat. It's similar to Ohio State, but I believe their running game is better from a talent standpoint and the triggerman is seasoned in running it. I can't trust Jones against the Tide even with his solid performance last night.
TCU can play defense at times and I think their offense is as good as Ohio State's. I think TCU would be less likely to get carved up than Ohio State and I trust the QB play more. Basically, I'm worried about Amari Cooper. I don't know if Grant will be able to contain him.
The Penn State and Virginia Tech games stick in my memory. Even though that was a long time ago, those are probably the two best defenses Ohio State has played this year and the most similar to Alabama in terms of defensive talent, and they couldn't hit the home run throws. Michigan is okay and Wisconsin isn't bad, but like you said, I think Wisconsin might have gotten into a big mismatch without the weather elements. Who knows.

I don't think TCU's offense is close to Ohio State's. I also don't believe Jones will crack. He is a pretty cool customer. He won't break. Alabama may get to him a lot and he may not play well, but he won't crack from the pressure. I'm worried about Amari Cooper as well. I am really worried if Grant is covering him a lot. I would think Apple would have him if they press, but I think they will try to play zone against them. I don't really see any single person being able to contain Cooper. Virginia Tech killed us. Straight up, the Buckeyes weren't ready to play them. Penn State was a matter of Barrett playing in Beaver Stadium for the first time at night during an organized white out. Barrett made some mistakes. So did the Oline. That was they game that turned the season around. Jones will face the same kind of thing on Jan 1. The rest of the team will have been there before. Beaver Stadium at night is as tough an atmosphere as anywhere in the nation. Ohio State had 8 penalties for 70 yards in that game and blew a 17-0 lead. It had as much to do with the crowd as it did with Penn State's defense.
Still Alabama is the toughest team we will face by far and beating them will be a tall order. They are better than Ohio State. Ohio State will need some breaks to beat them. I don't see TCU doing any better. I don't think they can stop Cooper either.

Arkansas held Cooper to 2 catches for 22 yards. He was extremely frustrated all game. Play him physical on the line, don't put entire responsibility of one person to cover him.

I think that is key too. Don't play him man to man. Ohio State plays mostly man, but that is a bad idea against cooper. The DB's are young though and man to man is the easiest coverage to learn. We will see how they go when they have to switch men. That will be key.
