Nothing makes me think that Ohio State would have beaten FSU more times than not. They didn't before FSU had their dynasty run ...and didn't during that run...and, in fact, lost by 9, by 17, and by 17 again.
But then again, I admittedly have a jauniced view of the Big Ten...
Florida State never played Ohio State before 1982. No way Florida State beats Ohio State more then once or twice max between 1947- 1968. In the 70 Ohio State would have done better in the first half of the decade and Florda State would probably got the nod in the last half, but the decade would have been close. 80's and 90's for sure would have been dominated by Florida State. Florida State probably wouldn't have scored on Ohio State between 1947 and 1960, but no chance Florida State doesn't get dominated those years. Unfortunately, Florida State rarely poked their head above Tennessee in those early years, but when they did they got beat by the likes of William and Mary, Syracuse, and Wyoming. Syracuse was pretty good back then, though.
