WKU/Tennessee

Postby Eric » Sat Sep 07, 2013 1:15 pm

Okay, I'm going to guess that people on College Gameday, etc. will say that Butch Jones has turned Tennessee around already. They'll read into their demolition of Western Kentucky too much. I'm watching the game and it's 31-3 early in the second quarter, but Tennessee has 31 points on 68 yards of offense. WKU has turned the ball over five times in their last five drives, and turnovers that occur at this rate tend to be a little on the fluky side. Tennessee isn't this much better than WKU. Bobby Petrino can't hold onto the ball for them

Agree, Tennessee is not back. W Kentucky just made way too many errors.

Sorry, my attention was exclusively drawn to the Miami/florida game at the time . . .

However, in the post game studio national update, Rece, Lou & Mark pretty much laughed it up on Western Kentucky's behalf.

They didn't really seem to lean one way over the other . . . but Holtz did go on to mention how you simply cannot be competitive when you turn over the ball that much.

I did not get the impression they were particularly overwhelmed by the Vols.

By the way; Michigan is looking good right now.

Nice surprise win tonight for Miami. Florida is almost like GT for me...as long as they lose the day is not a complete loss.
They’re either going to run the ball here or their going to pass it.

The fewer rules a coach has, the fewer rules there are for players to break.

See, well ya see, the thing is, he should have caught that ball. But the ball is bigger than his hands.

That's generally how I feel about; nd - florida - usc

And what a day! --- They all lost . . .

Miami beating florida is just icing on the cake . . . this being the last meeting with the lizards (ending the rivalry series) & our finishing out with a win, extending the lead we had in the series by one more :D . . . :D well that's the hidden surprise strawberry filling in the cake . . .
