Week 11 Thoughts

Postby donovan » Sat Nov 09, 2013 6:22 am

1. Where's Duke, he needs to get back here; this board needs more West Coast patriots so light and truth can reign.
2. BYU will win over Wisconsin. This is not a game Wisconsin needs right now. 27 to 21, BYU.
3. LSU will give Alabama its first defeat. LSU has done poorly on the road. It has been spanked by Alabama regularly lately, who hasn't. But today Zach Mettenberger, Jeremy Hill and Odell Beckham have more to prove than the team as a whole. That offense will make it happen. An for the last two months, Alabama has not played any real competition.
4. Florida State University 72 Wake Forest 6. There will be more action in the parking lot than on the field.
5. Tennessee over Auburn. Auburn is too cocky and Tennessese needs the win. The crowd will make the difference and someone will told the team, one win over SC does not make a season.
6. Nebraska over Michigan. Nebraska practiced everyday this week at the local Catholic church. Do what works.
7. Idaho versus Old Dominion Idaho by a squeaker. At 1-8, they just need a win for preparation for the game of the year when in a couple of weeks, the travel to FSU for the game of the year. FSU VERSUS IDAHO.....GAME OF THE YEAR IN JUST TWO WEEKS.
8. And lastly....upset of the week. Wyoming will beat Fresno State today. Not a fluke. Wyoming offensively has played poorly the past month, but they have the ability. Fresno is a good team, but this will be there challenge.

I have Bama and Wisconsin, though I can see how BYU can beat Wisky. I think Wisconsin has Abbrederis back and that makes them a two dimensional team. If Borland is able to play, I think that is the difference. Borland is one of the best LB's in the nation. They will have to overcome not having Tyler Dippel so that will put more pressure on the Wisconsin secondardy then they are used to having. If the backfield can play well for Wisconsin, I think they can control the clock and win the game. If the secondary doesn't play well, that would be the key to a BYU victory today.

I know LSU's record at BD stadium lately, but I think Bama's defensive front will put enough pressure on Mettenburger to disrupt LSU's offense and win the game.

It is the start of the second quarter...few minutes into it and it is FSU 35 Wake Forrest Zip.....I sure hope FSU is not overlooking Wake Forrest getting ready for Idaho in a couple of weeks!

They seem to have it covered.

I have another thought for week 11. If you go back in history to find the worst Gator football team of all time, they would be a 3 TD favorite to this years team.

LSU has their work cut out ahead of them. They had a great first drive, but in typical Alabama fashion, the opposition just can't get it done. Copeland fumbles one inch away from the goal line, turnover. I don't know what kind of witchcraft Nick Saban practices, but it always seems to work

Looks like the Tide is starting to roll now.

If you watch their first touchdown, the LSU receiver looked to pushoff to get open.

The Tide are currently rolling around in a Tied game.

Alabama is just a better ball club. LSU's errors were caused by the Tide. I was wrong. But they both came to play and until the final moments I think Bama was not resting easy.

Alabama is a better coached team. You could see them learning and adjusting. It wasn't easy, but Alabama is going to be tough for anyone to beat. Teams will be able to move the ball on them a little, but there is no easy game plan to stop them. Someone is going to have to go in and take it from them. That's not easy to do.
