Re: Arizona State out running Notre Dame
That was a crazy game ... ND had a bunch of chances.
Fumble at the goal, interception in the redzone, a mishandled fieldgoal snap. All of that, and they still managed to pull within 3 points before Arizona St closed the door on `em.
Notre Dame took too long to get things going. Arizona State played about the same as they always do.
The same thing happened Against UCLA. Arizona State was up 17 points, then lost, 62 - 27.
The Sun Devils' remaining schedule:
Oregon State
Washington St
Arizona
The Big question mark left for them is the instate rivalry. If they play the way they did today against Arizona, Roddy's Wildcats will stamp out the fire they are burning with.
Otherwise, AZ State should win out.

It's the Buckeyes turn to get spanked now.

After I read about the ND performance the week after the Navy game I changed my pick to ASU in my football pool, I should have come back here and changed this one too. Love these games that are shaking up the playoff picture.

Can't say I was all that confident in Notre Dame going into Tempe, but I was extremely unimpressed with Taylor Kelly and the offense heading into this one. They managed to beat Washington on the road and Utah, some tough games and the defense looked much better, but the offense was terrible in each outing. I was calling for Bercovici in each game because Kelly was so rusty. I've always been a fan of Taylor Kelly's as a player so I was surprised that the offense was so lackluster, but they came back in a big way today.

I've felt all season that ND is overrated and built up by media hopes and hype.

I don't remember the last time Notre Dame was not overrated.

They’re either going to run the ball here or their going to pass it.
The fewer rules a coach has, the fewer rules there are for players to break.
See, well ya see, the thing is, he should have caught that ball. But the ball is bigger than his hands.

Doesn't look to be the case ...
I need Michigan State to start producing here:
In the Fantasy Conference game, I have Michigan State, and only 3 of my teams are playing this week --- UTSA already lost to Rice, while Colorado State won their game with Hawai`i, so this game is it for my week, and I'm sitting only with o.5 right now --- a win in this game would give me a 2 total this week.

Re: Arizona State out running Notre Dame
Michigan State's offensive line had a hard time with the Buckeye D line. They were forced to hold to try and keep up. They had two or three guys to keep Bosa occupied and it destroyed their running game. Cook played well. I thought we were screwed when we coughed up two punts inside the 30, but it only cost us 7 points. Some where in Chicago Jim Delany is balling his eyes out.

Re: Arizona State out running Notre Dame
Ohio State's offensive line and JT Barrett have come a long way since the beginning of the season. They got schooled by Bud Foster in the second game of the year, nothing but a beat down, then the unbelievable crowd at Penn State where the first year Olineman and QB was welcomed to Big10 crowd noise. Finally tonight were they played a near perfect game. The defensive back field still has a few warts, but they are improving. Ohio State could be a force to reckon with next year with all these offensive weapons and Braxton Miller. The Defense should be solid as well. This isn't our year, but I'm hoping we get back to competing for championships by next year.

True. Forgot about that. That's my bias showing.
