I always found LaVell to be an honorable man. I think that was not easy when you started coaching in 1972 and the changes through when you quit in 2000. Mainly in the players that needed to be coached.

Dang, I didn't even know this until now. I would have thought him enough well known for this to have garnered some attention. Rest in Peace LaVell.
