Key words - tied to education. They didn’t rule on them being paid to play or name, image, likeness. IMO, though, the NCAA and the presidents did this to themselves. They severely punished kids breaking the rules, they punished member schools arbitrarily, and they have refused to try to resolve this on their own.

Yep, that goes back a few years to a WVU guy, Shawne Alston, he wanted paid for ‘educational costs’, which at the time were refused, but later the NCAA conceded.
I was referring to the Brett Kavanaugh opinion he wrote saying the ruling “an important and overdue course correction” when addressing the past and current NCAA Business Model.
