Four guys out!
Ohio State has 4 guys out for the Rose including Olave and Wilson - both probably 1st round picks. I keep listening to the sports guys talk about them not playing. Sorry guys. You spent years trying to make the bowls meaningless with a playoff system. So now quit bellyaching when they take away your ability to promote the game by making the business decision not to play in a game that has no meaning anymore.

Yep, about the only way to incentivize Bowl Play, is to start the payout boosters, or give players monetary promotional options ...
If they are given the chance to make solid money for Bowl promos, they would have guaranteed cash.
Then it's easy to say; "You never actually know how the draft numbers will eventually fall. But this $100,000 is yours, now."

Re: Four guys out!
It isn't going to work. A lock 1st round player it not going to take $100,000 to take a chance on losing millions. Throwing money at it will not work. These guys want to play for championships. Used to be that if you were in the Rose you had a shot to win a championship. Rose, Orange, Fiesta, Sugar, maybe even Cotton. If you were there you had a shot. Also if all those players went to those top bowls, the players from the lower bowls had no excuse not to play. It made them look bad.
The Bowl are going to go away. This is the begining of the end of the bowl system. It ended the day the playoffs started. They just haven't bled out yet.

Gotta love Clemson...they moved their 10 season win streak to 11 (only Bama and FSU have had longer streaks at 14).
"I couldn't be more proud of our players," Swinney said. "The credit belongs to them. 28 players, including nine in the portal and 19 out with injury or protocol. Two coordinators gone and AD chilling on a beach. These guys just hung in there. It speaks to the culture and foundation of our program. It was an amazing experience out there tonight.

Yep, I was just talking about the players who opted out, not the ones who couldn't play for injury or Covid protocols. Everyone has been dealing with that all year. Clemson is one of the current elite programs. They should step back up next year to the top of their conference.

Good game…… fun to watch right down to the end. Gotta say though, after the game during the awards and both teams fist bumping and pats on the back it was fun watching them dive into that big tub of Cheez-it’s….

Pitt is playing tonight without Heisman Finalist Kenney Pickett at QB....opted out...and that makes Pitt a different team.

Re: Four guys out!
Pitt might have lost, but they were the better team tonight. The fightin’ Mel Tuckers just out hustled Pitt and Pitt was down to their 3rd QB.

I watched the Pitt/MIchigan State game with my dog……a true Mountaineer Fan…….. He started barking and howling while running around in a circle after Pitt lost.
I told him to stay classy…… but I guess he just couldn’t help himself.

I’m anticipating a real Slobber Knocker……. that oftentimes means turnovers and the Kicking Game will decide the outcome.

It never bothers me to see Harbaugh's dreams crushed. I rather enjoy it.
