This is a photo of Old Main located on the Downtown Campus at West Virginia University. Old Main, as it’s name implies, is an old building which was build in the 1800’s. It’s a beautiful site, well maintained and landscaped.
Currently there are two stakes driven into the ground located in front of the building. Surrounding those stakes are numerous couches. There are signs nailed to each of the stakes, on one stake the sign reads “Neil Brown”, on the other stake the sign reads “Shane Lyons”…………. If one knows something about the history, customs and traditions of Mountaineer Fans, both young and old, you’ll know what they’re thinking.

”We’re already in a time where the on-field aspect of College Football is almost a distraction. It’s an era filled with handwringing about player empowerment, NCAA deregulation, the transfer portal and realignment all while the sport generally moves toward a professional model.” ~ Dennis Dodd

Thank you WVU...for putting up "for sale" signs on Bowdwn's lawn...that pushed him to leave for FSU.

You’re welcome…….. not only did Mountaineer Fans put Ole Bobby’s house up for sale, they also hung him in effigy not far from where those stakes are today.
Not a good idea to blow a 35 - 8 halftime lead to Pitt……. and then lose the game 36- 35 in Morgantown………
……….and btw, Bobby Bowden is in The WVU Hall of Fame.
