Well, uh……….

Postby Mountainman » Tue Jun 06, 2023 10:14 am

……..I was there when it happened, actually it was 4th and less than a yard. And after the game when asked about that decision during the post game presser, Brown got very defensive and speaking in a very aggressive voice said, “……. and I’d do it again.” and walked away from the podium.

I won’t even get into the Graham Harrell and JT Daniels fiasco…… but when questioned by the media about play calling as the OFFENSIVE COORDINATOR, after Brown said when Harrell was hired that Harrell had ‘total responsibility for play calling’, Harrell replied, ‘yep I call the play, but I’m told what to call’…….. and JT Daniels was benched after 10 games and never saw the field again with 11 TD’s and over 2100 yds passing. Both Harrell and Daniels left at season’s end.

It doesn't matter who calls the plays. The head coach is responsible for the staff and his team. That is why he makes the big bucks.

Yep…….. along with performance, outcomes, results and consequences.

My call is with this season’s schedule that includes the new BIGXII members, the Mountaineers need 8 maybe 9 wins this coming season……. else they’re be a new Head Coach in Morgantown next season.

With the rumors of Colorado & UConn joining the league, that puts at least one more regional game in the yard.

Also, future stretch expansion in talks with Memphis & Arizona being mentioned, would put of the Mountaineers Schedule near home.

That has to be a little bit of positive air swirling.
