The Axe Is Falling On The Employment Of Mel Tucker's Neckline ...
--------------------------------------------------------------
Michigan State football coach Mel Tucker has been suspended without pay ...
The university investigates a Title IX claim that he sexually harassed Brenda Tracy, a prominent rape survivor and national activist.
The matter was first reported to the university in December 2022. After the USA Today report, Michigan State held a news conference Sunday evening, announcing secondary coach and longtime MSU assistant Harlon Barnett will serve as the interim coach, with former Spartans HC Mark Dantonio returning as an associate head coach.
A formal hearing is still set for Oct. 5, the week of MSU's bye week, where the findings will be discussed.
Of course, the financial dealings are a concern, having signed a 10-year, $95 million fully guaranteed contract extension with Tucker in 2021.
However, there may be some potential outs for the Spartans if they fire him using the "Moral Turpitude" clause in the contract.
Not a great day for East Lansing football.

Mel Tucker’s statement……..
"Ms. Tracy's distortion of our mutually consensual and intimate relationship into allegations of sexual exploitations has really affected me," Tucker wrote in a letter to the investigator that was obtained by USA Today. "I am not proud of my judgement and I am having difficulty forgiving myself for getting into this situation, but I did not engage in misconduct by any definition."

Remember a time, when this sort of thing would have been handled by not disclosing precise details and the "Offender" receiving a second chance with the condition of attending some sort of sensitivity training program ..?
My how times have changed, for sure.

Times have indeed changed…….. but there’s a saying about “The more things change, the more they stay the same.”.
Mel Tucker says it was consensual and didn’t mention quitting his job and forfeiting his contract, the woman is claiming she’s been wronged and I wonder if a chunk of Mel’s 9.5 mil per year she would settle for, and Michigan State has a potential opportunity to dump Tucker and his guaranteed 100 million of guaranteed dollars contract………. that scenario has been around for a long time.

You have to have better sense than that. He was thinking with the wrong head.

When considering the girl in question and her "activism", I am 105,847% positive that it was not "rape".
They’re either going to run the ball here or their going to pass it.
The fewer rules a coach has, the fewer rules there are for players to break.
See, well ya see, the thing is, he should have caught that ball. But the ball is bigger than his hands.

Still, considering the womans job, I would think he would have gotten signed consent. Actually, my thought is that a MSU booster didn't like the direction and set him up. He couldn't be that stupid.

To Spence's point, though ...
Charges dropped, after Michigan St gave Tucker a "Notice of intent to terminate his contract, without compensation, effective next Tuesday."
MSU Athletic Director Alan Haller: The notice provides Tucker with seven calendar days to respond and present reasons to me and the interim president as to why he should not be terminated for cause.
If Tucker does not present quoted, “Sufficient reasons to dispute” multiple contract violations, the school will fire him Sept. 26th, three days after the program’s Big Ten opener vs Iowa [in Iowa City].

I was referring to the claims she made previously about being raped by four ‘Football’ players in an earlier incident.

All the more reason for coach Tuck to keep his distance.
