Clemson and Florida St

Postby RazorHawk » Mon Sep 03, 2007 8:10 pm

The entrance the Clemson teams makes onto the field, down the hill may be the best in college football. I also like Chief Osceola at Florida St.
Bowden Bowl Nine, just underway. Better than NFL Monday Night Football.

Depends on whether or not they can get anything going on the offensive side of the board. (and whether or not they beat Miami  )

Doesn't look like Clemson can take the heat. They are choking. Bad snaps, holding calls, they did this several times last year.

I know what you mean. The receiver was just yelling for a flag while the ball sailed over his head. Not smart.

I only caught the 4th quarter, but that was an intense one.
They’re either going to run the ball here or their going to pass it.

The fewer rules a coach has, the fewer rules there are for players to break.

See, well ya see, the thing is, he should have caught that ball. But the ball is bigger than his hands.

You have to give Florida State credit for keeping their heads in the game. That was a crazy game. Too many mistakes on both sides.

I thought the play calling in the last 3 or 4 minutes by Florida was crazy. Plenty of time to get first downs but every play was to get it back all at once. That is panic coaching. All in all I would say coaching from FSU was not so good. I understand that they have a rebuilt staff but I expected more. I think they will come around...but I was confused with the plays.

Replays looked to definitely prove the receiver caught that last pass, then stepped out of bounds before the ball was knocked out of his hand. FSU should have had one more play. Oh, well - that one's over.

I agree. It looked to me like his right foot was in before he stepped out with his left and all that happened before the Clemson player got his head on the football and knocked it out. It looked like a catch to me.

The refs messed that one up.

Jimbo can't be happy

Clemson got complacent late in the game. I saw good defenses shutting down mediocre offenses (well, after Clemson started with their barrage, FSU just got tired because of the heat and lack of rest, especially on the Kelly 41 yard catch-and-run). But then, Clemson started to slip a little. I actually think FSU's defense played better later in the game, but I'm not a big Cullen Harper fan.

FSU might have worked out some issues in that game, at least they have UAB next week so they still have a chance to improve offensively.

Looked just like last years ACC, intensity that degenerates into sloppy play, penalties, and a lot of mouthing!

I'm stuck in North Carolina so I had to watch more ACC than I would have liked last year. (Game Plan this year...my sanity is worth the cash.)

But I just love watching Va. Tech, Miami, Fla. St., and BC flounder. Has to be my favorite seafood!

Oh, and Clemson has my vote for best entrance!

It is the only one I watch and wish the Eers had something a bit more creative.

I'd like to see 12 - 21 gun sections, 6 on the field 6 on the stadium top, of Mountaineers with custom 65 caliber over-bore muskets using the stankest can't see your feet black powder there is. Accompanied with ground cannons in the end zones with yellow and blue smoker charges. And AC/DC's "For Those About To Rock" to finish off those bleeding ear drums.

On a cool damp night it would take 15 minutes for the smoke to clear. We'd have to have huge fans just to clear it off for the kick-off! I want to see the fans going to get a dog looking like they just climbed out of a coal mine! Hey we could put a couple of 200lb. lumps of coal out there for the players to black their eyes with.
