It was wet. Really wet. But I still had fun, and got some good shots. Mud makes for interesting plays.
As an example, I present to you the UL-Monroe place kicker having a bit of trouble getting his feet planted in overtime:
And some cheerleaders getting a little wet (it's PG!):

What happened on that play? Did the PK get blocked on that kick? It looks like he just slipped into the ball instead of kicking it. That is a great pic, by the way.

Re: FAU vs UL-Monroe: Photos
As you can see it was rather muddy in that area... he did a slide-kick like they do in soccer, basically. The ball didn't even get to an offensive lineman, haha.
The UL-Monroe kicker had 1 blocked, 1 missed out-right, and that 1 missed on the slip.
The FAU kicker had 2 blocked, I believe.
It was ugly. FAU's kicker is absolutely terrible. He can't make it from the hash-mark at the 20yd line in warm-ups. There was more than once occasion during the game where it was 4th and 10+ and they elected to go for it instead of putting in the PK.
UL-Monroe's kicker just got unlucky, always ending up in the swamp.

Mud between the hash marks is a kickers nightmare. I have seen lots of guys slip, but I don't think I have ever seen someone just absolutely fall on their butt like that before. You have to feel a little sorry for that guy. Know one wants something like that on tape.

Why are the cheerleaders out there???? There is nobody in the stands to lead!
They’re either going to run the ball here or their going to pass it.
The fewer rules a coach has, the fewer rules there are for players to break.
See, well ya see, the thing is, he should have caught that ball. But the ball is bigger than his hands.

Haha, I know, right? Granted, everyone ran away at that point because of the downpour, but even in the sunshine there were probably only 2,000 people there. So sad. How did they ever make 1-A? I mean, uh, Football Bowl Subdivision.
Re: FAU vs UL-Monroe: Photos
I'm kind of shocked that UL Monroe won this game. They're starting to make some headway in the Sun Belt.
If they didn't lose to North Texas....

Love the cheerleader pic. Looks like you went to a football game and a wet t-shirt contest broke out.
