Auburn vs Clemson

Postby billybud » Sun Sep 19, 2010 8:14 am

Anybody catch that game?

One of the better games that I have watched lately. Hard hitting right into overtime. Equally matched teams fighting it out. Some really ferocious licks given and taken. I didn't see the refs calling helmet to helmet although there were several.

Clemson had kicked a FG to tie in OT but the refs threw a flag and called offsides against Auburn. Then the officials huddled for a couple of minutes and came out that the Clemson center had picked the ball up immediately prior to hiking (causing the offsides). Penalty against Clemson, kick over after five yard march off, kick went wide left.

Auburn by 3 in OT.

Really good game.

I thought Clemson should have won. It was a good game. I went back and forth between that game and MSU -ND. Missed the end because I got caught up in the MSU game.

I watched it. I did not think Auburn was going to pull it out.

We saw that end coming! Kickers kill me...me and my son both said he was going to miss. It just seems to go that way more times than not on a FG with so much ridinng on it. (Perhaps they should have pulled a Sparty!)

The refs made the right call at the end....the center did pick up the ball and put it back down before the snap.

Clemson on the third down play in overtime had a WR all alone in the endzone and the QB just missed him....ball off his fingertips. That pass was for the win. Man I wanted Auburn to loss.

There were some nasty hits in that game. One play near the end of the game an Auburn player was knocked outed...literally. I also feel bad for the Clemson lineman they had to cart off....his right leg from the knee down looked to be twisted in the wrong direction.

I wanted Auburn to win as we will get our chance against them.

The more I watch Auburn the better I feel about our chances. The Razorbacks played well against offenses like Auburn's last year....Texas A&M, Florida, Auburn. The Hogs beat Auburn by 21 last year and had a 30+ point lead on them. If the Hogs do not turn the ball over or give up too many deep balls they will beat Auburn by double digits again.

Auburn is not that good, I see Arkansas beating them.

But I'm sure Auburn will beat Ga.
They’re either going to run the ball here or their going to pass it.

The fewer rules a coach has, the fewer rules there are for players to break.

See, well ya see, the thing is, he should have caught that ball. But the ball is bigger than his hands.

I think Georgia can win that game. I think Ark beats them if they avoid turnovers. Auburn is drastically overrated in my opinion.
