Log in Problems

Postby Eric » Sat Aug 12, 2006 12:58 pm

Is anybody else having this? It seems every other 3 or 4 pages I visit, I get logged out.

Are you using the link in the top right of the page to log-in? (Above the inbox link).

If you use the other one at the bottom of the pages, sometimes it doesn't work.

Also, make sure you are able to accept cookies. A how-to on this problem exists in the "README BEFORE POSTING" topic in this forum.

Okay, thanks. Usually the log in screen will pop out of nowhere before or after I post, or sometimes while I'm just viewing a topic.

I never log out. That's my answer to your question.

The only reason you'd ever need to sign out is if someone is using your computer that you think will manipulate your account on here. So unless your wife/ex-wife/girlfriend/ex-girlfriend wants to make you look bad on some internet message board, I don't see a need to sign-out.

I never log out either. Unless I have an error or corrupt file I am always logged on. Some anti virus software will wipe out cookies when you shut down. That could be it. You can change the settings on that as well.

Well, it was working for a day, but now it's back up to it again

Here's where I lost you. I went to "Internet Explorer", went to "Tools", then to "Internet Options", but there's no "Privacy".

Right click what? It won't let me right-click "Internet Options."

I would say that would go a long way in fixing the problem.
