Well...

Postby Cane from the Bend » Sun Oct 10, 2010 12:32 am

Congratulations to the seminoles; they truly have an understanding of who they are as a team. They played at full intensity for all 60 minutes, and walked out of Miami with a huge win.

They play balanced enough on offense to hold the line backers off the pass rush, and garner enough productivity out of the backfield in order to keep the pressure off the qb.

They were excellent tonight... and, though Miami showed moments of life; Florida State was able to execute where the `Canes couldn't, leaving anyone watching the game with no question who deserved the win.

...

Miami, on the other hand, has got to find an identity.

The Hurricanes seem to try adjusting the offense on a weekly bases when things just don't go quite right. The wide receivers need to catch the ball. Too many drops account for so many missed opportunities.

The defense needs to hold the reins a little, because over-pursuing has made gaps the opposition is capable of exploiting.

The players need to call a team meeting, settle themselves down, and work on trusting eachothers' abilities out on the field.

Moments of success now need to turn into game long objectiveness... either that, or, we can simply accept the moderate bowl we'll achieve this season... and just start preparing for next year.

...

Again, congrats to fsu who clearly dominated the game.
They genuinely are the best team in the ACC.

Miami plays out of control football. They have good athletes, they just don't play as a group very often. They aren't a great team, but not because they don't have very good players. Sometimes players just don't gell. For whatever reason, I think that is Miami.

I picked Miami, but Florida State usually gets up for this game when they are the dog. Both teams have great athletes. Talent isn't a problem at either school.
