Everyone a week ago had Denard Robinson of Michigan as the unanimous favorite. One poor game with three interceptions and a loss and he drops off the radar. I personally, did not ever have him as my favorite, as I looked at the competition (billybud's SOS) and figured that what he had been doing, was primarily due to that. Seems I may have been correct. Michigan plays Iowa in Ann Arbor this Saturday.

Ryan Mallett was an early favorite. He has thrown for over 300 yard in every game, but now is almost off the radar. One loss against, then #1 Bama with 1 interception and not a real flashy performance in their win against Texas A&M in Dallas last week. I do think Mallet's stats are partly due to the system. I think we will see an Arkansas QB with very good stats, as long as Bobby Petrino is the Hog boss.

Now the Heisman winner for the week is Kellen Moore. His stats for the year will be outstanding, mainly due to the lack of tough opposition. The only thing that could hurt him would be if Peterson only has him in the game, until they are up by 5 touchdowns. I would suspect, he will play into the fourth quarter to get the stats necessary.

This year should be a very interesting Heisman contest. I think it will again come from a top team and someone that has some great games in Week 7-9 of the season.

I just hate when 1 poor game has this much influence.

Kellen, is that you? WTF. My post was really that I don't know who is at this time. All I was saying that to have a new Heisman favorite each week, based on that week's game is ridiculous, I don't care who it is.

Yeah, around here all you here about is Terrelle Pryors chances - even though not that much nationally. My point with my buddies here is that if you are truly looking for the most outstanding football player, that isn't Pryor - at least not yet. He may be the best athlete in college football right now. It is easy to make that case, but most outstanding football player is a completely different thing in my book.

Right now, I would put Kellen Moore on the list and also Ryan Mallet. I would still have Ingram on. That is probably it. James from Oregon falls more in the Terrelle Pryor catagory for me. As to who I would pick for Heisman - Right now - nobody. Moore has probably stood out the most, but Mallet has played under more stressful situation. Ingram has been injured on and off. No one is head and shoulder above the other, meaning we need to wait and see.

I haven't seen him do enough to warrant a Heisman trophy at this point. Often he puts too much bullet on his passes, when not needed. I think he does have pretty good pro potential though, and I am glad he is playing for the Razorbacks.

Oh I agree. The big rub on Mallet, something that has carried with him since he was a freshman is his decision making. Physically if you look up quarterback in the dictionary, his picture would be included.

Actually, a concern is Mallet being too tall. They listed him last year at 6'7", but this year at 6'6". I know at my age I am not as tall as I once was, and my feet are getting bigger (no that other thing is not getting any bigger) , but at his age I would not think he would be shrinking.

I wish he would stay for his Senior year, but I don't think that will happen.
