Homer Message Boards Are Hell After a Loss

Postby billybud » Wed Oct 20, 2010 11:24 am

Linked is a page sampling home board posts from South Carolina, Arkansas, Florida, and Ohio State fans....

We all have anguish when our team loses....but it is sometimes cathartic to read of other fans anguish. We are not alone.

(Boise fans, you can just skip this thread since you won't relate to a topic that discusses bitter losses).

The Arkansas boards a just crazy all the time...Ark wins and they are the greatest and will never loss again...they lose and the sky is falling.

When Ark losses the Houston Nutt supporters come out in full force. Currently they are in favor of getting rid of Petrino. They are crazy. Nutt left Ark about as low as a program could be...some his fault, some not (I mean how do you recruit when the fan base is flying banners on game day, publishing his phone records, wearing fire crap to games, and booing the coach when recruits are in attendance). Anyway, Petrino has improved Ark every year and recruiting is getting better as well. I'm not ne that says Petrino can do no wrong...because there are enty of those fans as well. But I see very good coaching and a steady improvement from year 1.

I have not checked Florida boards but I would bet they are melting down now with 3 straight losses.
"A team with something to play for is dangerous, but a team with someone to play for is unstoppable..." Arkansas OL Brey Cook quote following the death of teammate Garrett Uekman (Nov. 2011).

I can only imagine. Even if we don't go to a bowl game this year...I demand a victory over Florida. 8)
They’re either going to run the ball here or their going to pass it.

The fewer rules a coach has, the fewer rules there are for players to break.

See, well ya see, the thing is, he should have caught that ball. But the ball is bigger than his hands.
