Rather enlightening. Good for comparison of the "have and the have nots."

For power I prefer to look at the 40s. High, Mid, and Low.

MWC has 3 in the top 40, 1 in the Mid, 5 in the Low.
Big East has 3 in the top 40, 5 in the Mid, 0 in the Low.

Or 30s

MWC has 2 in the top 30, 2 in the Hi-Mid, 1 in the Lo-Mid, 4 in the Low.
Big East has 1 in the top 30, 5 in the Hi-Mid, 2 in the Lo-Mid, 0 in the Low.

I thought MWC would compoare better in this breakdown. BYU suffering hurts a good deal.

*I note that UofL is the Big East's lowest ranked team ini the CCR at 77. I'll be interseted to see where they end up, I think they should be better as things play, according to my eye test. And surprisingly Rutgers is at 38...I didn't see that coming. I too want to see where they finish. I think the 2 teams are close right now, and my eye test leans towards UofL being better. And with UofL being in a new system...they could be notably better than Rutgers when they play, @ Rutgers in the last game of the season! I'll watch how this trends.

English please.
They’re either going to run the ball here or their going to pass it.

The fewer rules a coach has, the fewer rules there are for players to break.

See, well ya see, the thing is, he should have caught that ball. But the ball is bigger than his hands.

If you take away all wins away from all teams AQ and non AQ that are won against teams not in the top 30 in the country you would bolster the argument of the SOS guys. Most non AQ wouldn't have one win at the end of the season. No more then three. Lots of AQ conference teams wouldn't either, but you would be advocated the strength of schedule argument.

Ohio State is going to Miami next year. They have played on the road at Texas and USC, and Washington in the last few years. Ohio State doesn't go on the road and play mid major programs because it is financially advantageous to do it. If one of those programs would offer Ohio State five million dollars to come play them at home they would be there in a New York minute.

Also if programs like Ohio State didn't pay these teams to come in and play them, they wouldn't be able to have athletic programs. Most can't make it on their own. So I didn't completely miss the point, step down of that high horse.

Exactly. Arkansas has traveled to USC and Texas in recent years with Texas comng back on the schedule again soon. They also play Texas A&M on a nuetral field every year. They are not afraid to travel and play quality teams out of conference but like Ohio State it does not make since finacially. Ark will play a whopping 5 games in their main home stadium (like that every year....2 games are played in Little Rock...1 in Dallas Cowboy Stadium...the remaining games on the road). When Ark schedules non-AQ schools they are usually close geographically: Louisiana-Monroe, Troy, LA Tech, Tenn Tech, etc. Ark actually helps Lousiana-Monroe keep their FBS status...they often let them count the games attendance as if it was played in Louisiana even though the game is played in Littlr Rock (Ark's 2nd home stadium). It's advantageous to both schools. If teams lie Boise will pay for lost money by not having the game in Razorback stadium then Ark would come and play.
"A team with something to play for is dangerous, but a team with someone to play for is unstoppable..." Arkansas OL Brey Cook quote following the death of teammate Garrett Uekman (Nov. 2011).

You can watch things on the field and readily note that you don't see Ohio St in Akron. I don't see LSU or Arkansas at Troy. BUt when you look at the money, you can't really cast stones. Also, I look at it like this, by the season's start I am jonesing for football, if WVU goes to Nova and plays how many people can get in the game? 12,500

And the pricing is cheap. http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://www.johnnyroadtrip.com/cities/philadelphia/images/villanovastadiumseating.gif&imgrefurl=http://www.johnnyroadtrip.com/cities/philadelphia/vustadiums.htm&h=393&w=495&sz=13&tbnid=ivrVGeOKcNrNsM:&tbnh=103&tbnw=130&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dvillanova%2Bstadium&zoom=1&q=villanova+stadium&hl=en&usg=__f0X_ZIpucpNzJfTkq76zQhAzKo4=&sa=X&ei=TqvCTMb7K8L98Abpoan2Bg&sqi=2&ved=0CCIQ9QEwAw

But if I wanted WVU to get big teams in I'd start collecting donations. I'm still surprised many teams don't have this as a constant push. If the Eers got serious about it I'd collect and send at least $1500 a year. A few years times a few thousand guys plus some big boys and businesses, and you could add 3 to 5 thousand seats every year. if you want something, you have to work for it!

Ohio State has no choice but to play an Ohio School every year. The state mandates them doing it to keep the money in state. The Ohio schools were the ones complaining about it. Before they mandated it Ohio State hadn't played an Ohio school in years. So it isn't like Ohio State wanted the deal. Ohio State, though, sells out either way, so it really doesn't matter who they play.
