I don't know, but I am impressed with your wife. Mine doesn't watch close enough to see the conference banner.

Well if the Big Ten does any more expansion hinting, the Big East will be looking to grab anybody and everybody to keep their numbers up and BCS status... Haven't heard they were looking at Louisiana Tech though.

Louisiana was part of the Louisiana Purchase....before expansion I guess it could be considered part of the west.

You have to look to see which side of the Mississippi the Louisianna team is located...anything on the west of that great dividing line isn't east of the Mississippi LOL.

I don't know how things like that work. I went to a small private college of around 1,200 students and had no football team then. So, I might be way off.
I just thought it was a pretty decent football question along with geographic related concerns. Oh yeah, and not to mention the other factor: money.
This is the reality of conferences trying to build...not all that easy...The WAC has been raided more times than the Woman's dormitory at FSU.

Re: Uh-oh... My Wife... Football Question...
It is generally best not to let the wife speak during football. Now, we can't really do this...not directly. So I take the same approach as when I hear a conversation that would seem to say she is not interested in relations this evening, I hear nothing! I enter deeply into this mode all day Saturday. Hence, I have avoided any and all questions and statements that might even make me ponder the very idea the wife has a clue about football.

It is West of the Mississippi.
and definitely West of the FSU women's Dorm....

Speaking of costs...has anyone seen the notice that Cal will be dropping baseball because of mounting deficits? I can hardly believe it.
Cal has been a baseball school..I'll miss them in the Regionals.

California is broke, they are probably cutting funding to the schools.

I think that Louisiana Tech would most likely join the Sun Belt after the WAC collapses. But, if the WAC manages to replace the Big 3 with all Texas schools, maybe that would be enough for La Tech to remain in conference. My guess is that La Tech goes to the Sun Belt (or C-USA if the Big East takes one of their schools eventually) and the WAC adds UT San-Antonio, UC Davis, Cal Poly, and Montana.

Nice!!

They’re either going to run the ball here or their going to pass it.
The fewer rules a coach has, the fewer rules there are for players to break.
See, well ya see, the thing is, he should have caught that ball. But the ball is bigger than his hands.
