TCU

Postby Jason G » Sat Jan 01, 2011 4:57 pm

I believe that TCU deserves to be in the BCS. I believe TCU can go toe to toe with just about every team in the nation. That being said, in my opinion, the worst possible team for TCU to be matched up against is Wisconsin.

Everybody in the national media is saying that today's Rose Bowl will answer a lot of questions about whether TCU should really have been included. If the Badgers win by a significant margin today, as I predict they will, many will say again that schools like TCU shouldn't play on the biggest stage. I just honestly believe that this game poses the biggest size matchup of any of the 35 bowl games and that Wisconsin will just control the ball all game. I think it would be a better matchup (not necessarily a win though) for TCU if they were playing Oregon, Auburn, Stanford, Virginia Tech, Ohio State, or Arkansas.

How do you all feel TCU will hold up against Wisconsin? Is there any other BCS game participant you would rather have seen them pitted against?

I don't know. I thought Florida would kill Penn State. So I don't know anything this year.

I think TCU may win. If you think anything will change the "good old boys" BCS..then go for it. Personally, I think it is a sham. Follow the money.

I am leaning towards your thoughts...the worst team they could have pulled. TCU is not big and Wisconsin has size and more size. If TCU is going to win, one, they better have practiced hard over the break...and two, they will need a lead going into the 4th or TO's through the game to keep the Wisky line from beating the defensive front to death.

I also think that TCU will have a tough time in the second half.

The preceding statements are solely the opinion of GoBoilers and are, therefore, probably not based whatsoever on fact, research or more time in thought than what was required to physically type them. They're probably correct anyway, so you shouldn't argue too much, because otherwise he'll just blather on forever. On the internet Al Gore invented.

TCU will be in AQ conference next year and probably back in a BCS bowl as the BE Champs so they will be all right. Plus their cheerleaders are hot.

Maybe, I stand by my words. I will eat them if I'm wrong. It wouldn't be the first time.

O RLY? Was the UF v. UK game the only UF game you saw all season?

No, but I saw Penn State in most every game. McGloin makes bad decisions, really bad decisions.

I'm eating my words right now. Wisky's offense is generally their best defense, today Wisconsin is playing soft in cover two and TCU is taking full advantage. Patterson has out coached Bielema so badly in this game it's not funny. I've never been a big Brett Bielema fan, but I thought his talent would overcome his stupidity, I was wrong.

I am biased...but WVU will have something to say about that. (I think WVU will be pretty awesome out of the gate next year.) And TCU doesn't play a BE schedule until 2012.

It's a Texas thing, I believe. 8)

A couple of TCU penalties has likely kept them from scoring another 10 to 14 points. I thought TCU would need to capitalize on Wisky penalties to get those hogs off the field...but they have only had a few.

Florida was not good this year...but neither bwas Penn State.
