Dawgs v Boise

Postby Derek » Sat Sep 03, 2011 5:51 pm

I thought I would go ahead and start the thread...I'm about to head over to a friends house and get the evening (and our season) started. LETS PLAY SOME FOOTBALL FOLKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They’re either going to run the ball here or their going to pass it.

The fewer rules a coach has, the fewer rules there are for players to break.

See, well ya see, the thing is, he should have caught that ball. But the ball is bigger than his hands.

This Rugby style of kicking makes me mad. What are you afraid of Boise?

I thought this was a very important game for Boise State. Just in seeing how they would replace some good players. Well, they look more and more like the big programs all of the time, they just reloaded!

Boise's quarterback has started for about 8 years, I think.

Derek, we should have been there...one more blue shirt along with the 485,455 red shirts.....pretty classic, I think...game was determined at the line of scrimmage, Bosies offensive line wore Georgia's down. Georgia will be fine this year. and yes Billybud...at least 8 years...the strength of their program will be determined next year.

I think the is right. Chris Peterson, with a mountain of help from Kellen Moore, has taken that program to an elite level. No matter who wants to bemoan their schedule, they keep beating good football programs.

Donovan, yes we should have been there. I had a friend that told me Saturday afternoon over lunch that he had gotten two tickets. And for about 3 seconds I thought I was about to go, but he said he had already asked this girl...I WAS TICKED!! :D

I don't know that Georgia will be fine this year though...I think there is too big a hole with the receivers. I do like the Freshman running back though, LOADS of talent in that guy.

I think however, it might be too little too late. A loss to South Carolina next week, and Richt might not even be allowed to finish the season. I know a couple of alumni that are still very close to the program, and they have talked to boosters that have said as much.

I love the guy to death, I think he is a great leader and a good man, but fans will not accept another losing season. And with the East being as weak as it is, there is no reason for them to not take the East. Georgia has one of the biggest offensive lines (poundage) in CFB, there is no reason for them to fall apart like they did.

Congrats to Boise, they might play a fluffy schedule, but when the big game comes they are always ready. They wanted it more than Georgia's players and deserved it.

Donovan, if you were going to send Salmon, I demand to send you some homegrown Peaches!! :D

I think Georgia's primary problem is those uniforms. Nike needs to fire the guys who design those things.

Derek, we are square...a great meal in Portland. I will be rooting for Georgia. I think they will correct some line issues.

I think this West Coast quick plays is disconcerting to schools. It tires them, no room for defensive indecision.

Thanks.....long season but if they can stay focused they should have a good record this year. This was their toughest game though they are on the block every game...Petersen is good about maintaining focus....does a lot of gimmicks to make that happen, but it works. e.g. no trophies from past years, not talk about any game other than the next one, no mention of about post season opportunities, not discussion on rankings.....
