Coaches on the Hot Seat
I think it is safe to say that Skip Holtz is firmly on the hot seat. Many people thought USF was the preseason favorite to win the Big East. I wasn't one of those people, but I know the Bulls have too much talent to be losing home games to Rutgers and road games to Ball State. Nothing negative is meant against those teams. It's just that the talent pool is far richer around Tampa than it is around Muncie, Indiana or Piscataway, New Jersey. Former HC Jim Leavitt is now the LB coach of the 49ers and should be enjoying USF's demise after his wrongful dismissal.

I don't know why Skip Holtz was hired to start.

I think John L. Smith's replacement is on the hot seat.

Petrino got expectations at Arkansaa at an all-time high. I am convinced Jeff Long could not make a permanent hire and have it back fire in April. Too risky for his own job. Now he can bring n a monkey with cymbals and it will be an upgrade over John L.

It isn't wrong for fans to have high expectations. The AD has to get this next hire right. Not just from a football perspective.

This made me think of that scene from Zoolander.
You're a monkey, Derek!
Dance, monkey,
in your little spangly shoes!
Mash your cymbals, chimpy!
Dance, Derek, dance!
They’re either going to run the ball here or their going to pass it.
The fewer rules a coach has, the fewer rules there are for players to break.
See, well ya see, the thing is, he should have caught that ball. But the ball is bigger than his hands.
