Boy...How the ACC doth suck

Postby billybud » Fri Oct 05, 2012 12:14 pm

Us FSU guys aren't really into conference loyalty like SEC folks...and good thing. The ACC is putrid this year.

VT isn't the VT we have known...Miami is still trying to rebuild, Clemson (OK I just don't know about Clemson...it will take me two years to forget their bowl).

Just ugh!

They should join up with the Big Ten to make a giant putrid conference.

There is a lot of bad football being played by all conferences.

FSU should cakewalk their way through the ACC.

We Big 10 folk aren't really allowed to comment on the potency of other collections of teams

I will say if we want to do the arbitrary conference rating game, this is my take:

1. SEC
2. Big 12
3. Pac-12
4. ACC
5. B1G
6. Big East
7. Sun Belt
8. MWC
9. MAC
10. C-USA
11. WAC

Well, if results so far hold up you can once again rank BE football above the ACC. They talk a lot; but, rarely do they produce on the field these days.

Well, the Big East has historically gotten a bum deal because they don't have "enough" elite teams. But it's really all proportional. If they had four really good teams in a given year, that means half of the conference is pretty good. They've had 8 teams since 2005, so you can't expect them to field 6 elite teams like the SEC can every year.

This year, I'm only impressed with Cincinnati, Rutgers, and Louisville. I think the rest of the conference (Cuse, Pitt, Temple, UConn, USF) aren't very good at all.
