Predictions 2022: Week Two

"It is only impossible until it has been accomplished." ... then it becomes standardized ...
Success is measured by results; whereas Character is measured through the means by which one achieves those results . . .
It seems the Rapture did come for two worthy souls:

In Memory of Donovan Davisson

Re: Predictions 2022: Week Two
Well, here we go…….. I’ll be doing some homework and talk myself into some losses.
1. Alabama
2. Arkansas
3. Kansas State
4. Duke
5. Texas A&M
6. Tennessee
7. Wisconsin
8. Air Force
9. Houston
10. Iowa State
11. East Carolina
12. UAB
13. Florida
14. Oklahoma State
15. USC
16. Virginia Tech
17. UTEP
18. BYU
19. Fresno State
20. Mississippi State
Attention: These picks are under further review.
Attention: These picks have been reviewed, and will probably be reviewed again.
Attention: The picks marked with 3 stars are under further review.
Attention: These picks are still being reviewed……. I’ll probably end up flipping a coin tomorrow night.
I’m sticking with Duke because Northwestern showed they weren’t very proficient throwing the ball against Nebraska. I’m taking Tennessee because the Mountaineers had Pitt beat if not for a dumbarse call and a bobbled ball. I’m going with Houston because TexasTechs’ starting QB is out for a couple of weeks even though Houston played poorly last week. I’m going with Iowa State because Iowa was just awful last weekend, although I hate betting against Kirk Ferentz. And I have no idea why I’m picking VaTech over BC after the absolutely awful performance by the Hokies last weekend.

”We’re already in a time where the on-field aspect of College Football is almost a distraction. It’s an era filled with handwringing about player empowerment, NCAA deregulation, the transfer portal and realignment all while the sport generally moves toward a professional model.” ~ Dennis Dodd

huh ..?
Would you look at that no Thursday night games.
Saturday, September 10th
(1.) Alabama [ let's see if the Longhorns can keep it within 20]
(2.) Arkansas [let's face it ... the other guys have Spencer Rattler at QB]
(3.) Kansas State [not as easy of a choice as I thought]
(4.) Duke [I gleamed nothing from either of their first games, except Temple is awful; taking the upset]
(5.) Texas A&M [even if App could give `em a game, they're likely spent from the UNC outing]
(6.) Pitt [I don't know, maybe ... the Panthers beat the Vols last year in Knoxville]
(7.) Wisconsin [the Cheese Heads will be out in Force ... Jump Around!!]
(8.) Air Force [the last time this Rivalry played on USAF campus; Oct 5, 1974, the day I was born]
(9.) Texas Tech [soon, this rivalry will be a conference game again]
(10.) Iowa [we shall see]
(11.) ECU [both teams are coming off of emotional games ... Pirates lost theirs, but could've won]
(12.) Liberty [might be the best Go5 game of the week]
(13.) Florida [I hate to admit this, but they look really good]
(14.) Oklahoma State [though, AZ State looks better than I expected]
(15.) USC [could be a close game, but I just don't think the Cardinal are what they used to be]
(16.) Boston College [if the Hokies play with a chipped shoulder, maybe it goes the other way]
(17.) New Mexico State [neither are any good]
(18.) Baylor [both of them look really good]
(19.) Oregon State [they put Boise away last week; but this one is on the road, so maybe not]
(20.) Arizona [the administration has green-lit the Cowbells in their stadium]

They’re either going to run the ball here or their going to pass it.
The fewer rules a coach has, the fewer rules there are for players to break.
See, well ya see, the thing is, he should have caught that ball. But the ball is bigger than his hands.
