Success is measured by results; whereas Character is measured through the means by which one achieves those results . . .

Re: Predictions 2024: Week Nine
Saturday,
(1.) Texas A&M….. My dark horse, keep playing, let the guys in Austin wear the oversized hats.
(2.) Kansas State…. Very physical
(3.) Arizona….. just because their home and that ‘very physical’ bunch beat-up WVU, QB questionable, among others, and blocking and pass defense just suck, and AZ throws it all over the place.
It’s not ‘A Great Day To Be A Mountaineer, Wherever You May Be’.
(4.) Ohio…… I miss Frank Solish
(5.) Notre Dame….. quietly going about business
(6.) Virginia Tech…. I’ll take the ‘Sandman’
(7.) Virginia….. Mac’s farewell
(8.) Oregon…. Be sure to DUCK, a Little Birdie told me this could be the ‘Upset of the Weekend, I’ve just got a feelin’ that Illinois could pull this one off.
(9.) Iowa…..AHHHHH SHUCKS!!!! Get it????
(10.) Minnesota…. Hope they’re better at football than at VP Candidates
(11.) Wake Forest…. hope the jet lag don’t get ‘em
(12.) Baylor…. Okie State showed sign of life last weekend…… and lost
(13.) Toledo…. does anyone know what a ‘Mud Hen’ is?
A mud hen is a marsh bird with short wings and long legs that inhabits swamps or marshes. Such birds have been known as marsh hens, rails, coots, or mud hens.
The American coot is a migratory bird that occupies most of North America. It lives in the Pacific and southwestern United States and Mexico year-round and occupies more northeastern regions during the summer breeding season.
The Toledo baseball Mud Hens earned their present name in 1896 and have kept it, with very few exceptions, ever since. In that year the team played at Bay View Park. The surrounding marshland was frequented by these strange birds. The abundance of mud hens near the park brought about the nickname and the rest, as they say, is history.
(14.) California….. whichever team stays awake
(15.) Colorado State… just because they’re sassy with PrimeTime
(16.) Michigan….. big bro’ versus little bro’
(17.) Kentucky….. just because they’re home
(18.) SMU…. Lost their stud RB, I’ll take ‘em anyway
(19.) Fresno State…. truly a SWAG
(20.) Colorado….. darn well better not sleep on the Bearcats

”We’re already in a time where the on-field aspect of College Football is almost a distraction. It’s an era filled with handwringing about player empowerment, NCAA deregulation, the transfer portal and realignment all while the sport generally moves toward a professional model.” ~ Dennis Dodd

They’re either going to run the ball here or their going to pass it.
The fewer rules a coach has, the fewer rules there are for players to break.
See, well ya see, the thing is, he should have caught that ball. But the ball is bigger than his hands.

Saturday, October 26th
(1.) LSU --- [these teams just keep on winning; the Tigers have really become something]
(2.) Kansas State --- [the Jayhawks have been rather disappointing all season]
(3.) Arizona --- [Brown trying smoke & mirrors with Greene and Milum as "to be determined"]
(4.) Buffalo --- [close eyes and point ... okay ... them]
(5.) Navy --- [if so, then Army is likely to be my pick when the Domers meet them]
(6.) Virginia Tech --- [Hokies have been steadily improving]
(7.) Virginia --- [last year this was the turn around game for the Cavs]
(8.) Oregon --- [this is where the Illini find out exactly who they are]
(9.) Iowa --- [the comparison vs Washington has me convinced]
(10.) Minnesota --- [just another Home team pick]
(11.) Stanford --- [these guys got the bad end of the ACC scheduling]
(12.) Baylor --- [they are merely playing better at this point in the season]
(13.) Toledo --- [going with the Home team]
(14.) Cal --- [familiar faces + needing a win + abandonment complex = vitriol & excitement]
(15.) New Mexico --- [the Rams may need to score 40+ to win; I don't know they can do it]
(16.) Michigan State --- [no fluff; the Wolverines simply are not good]
(17.) Auburn --- [this feels like the week the Tigers actually do it]
(18.) SMU --- [the Mustangs are on a mission]
(19.) San José State --- [they go in, eke one out, take the trophy and leave]
(20.) Colorado --- [Cincy might've had a chance at home; the Buffs D is playing inspired]
