I've watched KY twice in exhibition and listened to the loss. Looks like they may be done a bit this year. We'll just have to see how it goes in the new year with them. :(

Maybe Tubby exited before the enevitable storm would hit as he had to be aware the talent level was down.

Well, with Alex Legion staying, leaving, staying again things are in a turmoil in Lexington. Will he, or won't he? That's the big question for KY fans :?:

So far I am rather enjoying Kentucky's basketball season. It will however, create the feeling of the SEC being way down in quality of play this year. Incidentally, I think that is a very true assumption. Florida is not very good and KY is not either. Tennessee appears to be the strength of the conference.

Looks like a long year for KY fans; and, those SEC teams they've beaten 10-20 times in a row are lining up and licking their chops.

Well, I have to admit that KY has turned it around and is playing good ball in the conference. Still, I think the SEC is down except for TN and Vandy. They may need some SEC tournament wins to make the NCAA. They have exceeded my expectations based on seeing them early in the season  .

Kentucky is one of those teams that their NAME helps their cause for getting in the NCAA tournament. If close, they will get a bid.

sure, I agree, KYs reputaton helps them out in general and sure got them in the NCAA this year. And, their true strength showed up with 1 & out. They simply did not belong in the tournament this year.

Nor did Duke, after seeing their lucky first game with the usual weird calls by refs for them I knew they'd go down sooner or later. And WVU made it sooner.

If you don't think Duke deserved in the tournament, you must be advocating a 16 are less field. Kentucky losing by 8 points to Marquette, certainly was not the worst first round performance. If you site their loss in the first round, then Indiana, George Mason, Winthrop, St Josephs, Boise St, South Alabama, America, Portland St, Kent St, Cal St Fullerton, UMBC, Texas Arlington, Temple, Oral Roberts, Cornell, St Marys, Austin Peay, Miss Valley St, Baylor, Georgia, and Arizona also did not belong in the tournament, as they all lost their first round game by 8 or more points.

Razor, looked like you were writin a book!

The BIG question now is. Who is gonna win it all? North Carolina?
The preceding statements are solely the opinion of GoBoilers and are, therefore, probably not based whatsoever on fact, research or more time in thought than what was required to physically type them. They're probably correct anyway, so you shouldn't argue too much, because otherwise he'll just blather on forever. On the internet Al Gore invented.

I was just responding to a post that thought Duke or Kentucky did not belong in the tournament. Hard to go against North Carolina as the favorite.
