Can't wait until Purdue plays WVU!

Postby GoBoilers » Mon Dec 07, 2009 8:43 pm

January 1. Should be a real good gauge for both.
The preceding statements are solely the opinion of GoBoilers and are, therefore, probably not based whatsoever on fact, research or more time in thought than what was required to physically type them. They're probably correct anyway, so you shouldn't argue too much, because otherwise he'll just blather on forever. On the internet Al Gore invented.

Ohio State is done. Turner is out for 8 weeks.

It is drawing closer. The Eers have to get through Ole Miss, Seton Hall, and Marquette. (Probably shouldn't do it, but I am not too worried about Cleveland St.)
Purdue just has to get by Iowa.

WVU #6 and Purdue is #4. Heck they might even put it on TV!

Almost spoke too soon. WVU only beat Cleveland St. by 2 points. Of course I didn't get to see the game. The recap informs that Cleveland St used the press to come back from a 17 point deficit in the 2nd half. I am not comforted by this...and of course Huggs was smoking hot!!!

#7 Duke drubbing Gonzaga for a 35 point win along with WVU's performance means WVU will drop in the polls. Lucky for them Tennessee at #8 lost.

Still can't believe we will play bball on ESPN on Jan. 1. Sacriligious! Football should be king on that day.

I'd have liked it a few days later. That could really tighten my schedule up, on @ 2:30 Eastern. I will have to get another TV set up that day. (I'll put the kids old TVs down here, a 19 and 25 will have to do for the B-Ball game and PSU-LSU.)

WVU is also playing in the Gator Bowl at 1 Eastern.

I just can't believe the pollsters didn't put Duke in front of WVU after this weekend. Duke's big win over Gonzaga and WVU squeezing one out against Cleveland St.!

The Eers are getting some love. MIght ruin them, a little chip on the shoulder can go a long way sometimes.

#21 Ole Miss goes down, 76 - 66. Next up Seton Hall. I'll be interested in seeing how the Eers do in these Big East match-ups before the Purdue game.

I believe that Ball State would have won if the game had three halves. Ball State was just beginning to play mediocre when the game ended. At least Ball State was beating Robbie Hummel 15-13 at the half. Ball State was also perfect from 3-point range, of course the Cardinals only had one attempt. Ball State still has a chance in the MAC. I have seen five MAC schools so far, and none of them are anything to write home about, although Northern Illinois should be much better than its record indicates.

You made me spill my morning coffee with laffs! Hey, I luv the MAC! Some pretty good bball played. Each team is basically 1 impact player from being with everyone else.

WVU almost got beat by one impact player today. Seton Hall's Hazell scored 41. He was just hitting everything, including a jumper from about 30' to send it to overtime!

One more game before the showdown!

WVU just beat Marquette on a clutch last shot by Butler to remain undefeated. Purdue is next for the Eers!

But they have been slacking lately and not guarding the 3 well...Purdue could be a real problem!

Yup. Just saw the last 5 minutes. WVU was down 5 points several times and hit a 3 after a steal to go ahead and win with 2 seconds left. Was a great game to watch.

Will be interesting to see the betting. Guessing it will be Purdue by about 5.
